April 29 - May 1, 2025 | Greenville, NC

EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION ENDS MIDNIGHT FRIDAY, FEB. 14!

CityVision 2025 – NCLM’s flagship annual event – is the year’s best opportunity to gather, learn from and network with hundreds of local leaders from around North Carolina.

This year’s conference takes on the emerging issues facing our cities and towns. Expert-led sessions will focus on the topics of housing, transportation, economic development and municipal workforce, along with a targeted showcase on civility and local leadership, and case studies from around North Carolina will provide you with a firsthand look at innovations you can implement back at home. You will leave this conference not just with information and guidance, but with practical, immediate tools to better your community.

NCLM is also offering this year two of its most sought-after educational courses: ‘Commit to Civility,’ which showcases our towns’ governing boards commitment to effective, respectful leadership, and provides participating towns with a Certificate to display at town hall; and ‘Ethics for Municipal Officials,’ which meets the state required ethics training for elected officials.

For those pursuing our AML Certifications, up to six credits are available at CityVision 2025!

Greenville Mobile Tours

The City of Greenville has organized the seven mobile tour options listed below.

These will be offered on both Wednesday and Thursday during conference. Sign-up for the mobile tours will take place on-site at the conference registration desk. Space is limited.

African American Cultural Trail

Greenville’s African American heritage will be on display on the African American Cultural Trail, including six stops that showcase the community's rich history. Learn about trailblazing leaders and discover landmarks that reflect the resilience and cultural vibrancy of the African American experience in Greenville and demonstrate the vital role of African Americans in the city's growth and transformation.

Public Art and Beverage Tour

Downtown Greenville is home to various breweries, distilleries, and roasters as well as a plethora of public art. This short walking tour features stops at Uptown Brewing and at Crush, the distillery that produces vodka for the famous Sup Crush. Maybe you are looking for an afternoon pick-me-up. If so, Blackbeard Coffee Roasters might have just what you need. You will also see a diverse variety of public art in the center city along the way.

Queen Anne’s Revenge Conservation Lab

No visit to Greenville is complete without some piratical activities. Visit the Queen Anne’s Revenge Conservation Lab, on the west research campus of ECU, for a unique opportunity to see how the State’s maritime archaeological conservation program investigates & preserves the artifacts recovered from the shipwreck identified as the pirate Blackbeard’s flagship. The ship ran aground in 1718 in what is now Beaufort Inlet, and the wreck was discovered in 1996. You will see anchors, utensils, cannons, and other weaponry recovered from the wreckage. The tedious work of mapping, recovering, preserving, and restoring artifacts from the ship is far from complete, and will continue for several more decades.

Greenways Golf Cart Tour

Join us for a relaxing and eco-friendly tour along Greenville’s greenways. Hop on a golf cart and cruise through lush landscapes and tranquil wooded areas alongside peaceful creeks, all while remaining just minutes from the heart of the city. As you journey through this beautiful natural corridor, you’ll feel transported far from the urban setting, offering a refreshing perspective on Greenville’s commitment to blending nature with community spaces. This leisurely ride provides the perfect opportunity to explore one of Greenville’s greatest assets and connect with the city's efforts in sustainability and outdoor recreation.
